Commercial, Cyber, Civil & Criminal Legal Services Across Sikkim’s District Courts

Commercial, cyber, civil and criminal matters in Sikkim’s district courts and the High Court at Gangtok, subject to local rules of appearance.

Sikkim is a short journey from Siliguri, and many people and businesses there have dealings in North Bengal: banks, suppliers, land and family. The firm’s advocates act in matters from Gangtok, Namchi, Gyalshing (Geyzing), Mangan, Pakyong, Soreng, Rangpo and Jorethang. Appearance before the courts of Sikkim is subject to the rules those courts apply, and the firm works with local counsel where they call for it. For the High Court of Sikkim and the tribunals, see the courts page.

Matters the firm handles

Matters that cross the border

A bank account can be frozen in Siliguri on a complaint from Gangtok, or a contract can be made in Sikkim and carried out in North Bengal. The forum is chosen by where the cause of action arose and where the parties are, and Sikkim’s own laws are checked where they differ. The firm explains this at the start so the right court is approached first.
