This policy explains how S & S Legal Advisors LLP (“the firm”) handles personal data collected through this website, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
What the firm collects
- Contact form messages: your name, phone number, email, the purpose of your query and your message.
- Technical data: server logs kept by the hosting provider for security (IP address, browser, pages requested).
- A single cookie recording that you accepted the Bar Council disclaimer. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by the firm.
Why it is used
Contact form details are used only to reply to your message. They are not used for marketing and are not sold.
How it is handled
- Form submissions are emailed to the firm over an encrypted connection and are not stored in the website’s database.
- Messages that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 90 days.
- The office email service is provided by a third party, which processes the data on the firm’s behalf.
- The map on the contact page loads from Google only after you click “Load map”.
Your rights
You may ask the firm for a summary of your personal data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India after first raising the matter with the firm.
